As Far As I Can Fall
About
Austin Winstead’s future is set at the end of senior year. He’s well-liked. He has a ton of fans. His band scored the opening slot at a huge summer festival, and his career as a metal vocalist is truly about to begin.
Enter chaos.
An anonymous account shares some doctored screenshots along with a vicious rumor about him, and Austin gets canceled.
The band kicks him out. His fans abandon him. His friends turn on him.
Everybody knows if you stand up for a canceled person, you get canceled, too.
The people who betray Austin think they’re saving themselves from the backlash. But when their lives also start to unravel, they begin to question not only themselves but everything they think they know.
Only two people stick by Austin, and they’re the last two people he expects. But even they can’t help but wonder… Why is Austin the only one who seems to be okay?
The answer will benefit them all. Sometimes it takes a lie to discover the truth about yourself.
